Lime OG potency: THC and CBD from 29 lab tests

In only 29 state lab tests, a small sample, Lime OG flower had a median total THC of 20.28%, with the middle half of results between 18.54% and 22.02%.1 CBD is low, and only 6 of the 29 tests reported individual terpene values, too few for a terpene profile.1

How published THC figures compare

Published figures for the Exotic Genetix line run higher than our median. Leafly lists 22% THC and 1% CBG; GrowDiaries gives 22% THC and 0.1% CBD; the nursery selling the clone claims 26–30%; a Crops label in Ohio reads 26.17%; and two Illinois batches reviewed by Illinois News Joint tested at 23.21% THCA (Nov 2021) and 22.99% THCA with 1.25% delta-9 THC, 26.59% total cannabinoids (Dec 2022).2,3,4,5,6,7

In our small lab sample, 90% of Lime OG flower tested below 23.74%, 2 of the 29 tests reached 25% or more, and the highest result was 27.52%.1 So the 26–30% claim describes the top of the range, not typical flower, and the Ohio label’s 26.17% sits above nine in ten of our tests. No published figure exists for Grounded Genetics’ line.4,5,8

We publish no terpene profile: only 6 of the 29 tests reported individual terpene values.1 Third-party descriptions of the Exotic Genetix line, drawn from other material, do not even agree on the lead terpene: Leafly names myrcene, Crops puts terpinolene first, the nursery lists limonene first, and an Illinois batch with 4.79% total terpenes was led by terpinolene and ocimene.2,4,5,7

Limits of this data

  • Coverage is thin and uneven. Michigan (23), Nevada (5), Massachusetts (1) supply all 29 tests, 16 of them from 2021; the latest is from 2024. Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched.
  • One lab supplied 55.2% of these tests (9 labs in total; Michigan labs are anonymised in the source), so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima.
  • Terpenes: only 6 of the 29 tests reported individual terpene values (Massachusetts, Nevada); Michigan labs report none. CBD: Michigan reports no CBD field either, and 5 of the 6 tests that reported CBD found none, none reached 1%, and the highest was 0.05%.
  • We matched names strictly: 35 results under near-miss names, including "PMG Lime OG - Bud" (5 results), two-strain labels such as "Lemon Skunk/Lime OG" and crosses such as "Lime OG × Sour Crack × Chemdogging", are excluded and counted; 33 strict-match concentrate results are not flower and are left out; duplicate certificates are removed. The labels do not say which breeder’s Lime OG was tested.
