Lime OG strain

Lime OG is a hybrid with a sour-lime, candied-citrus profile, bred by Exotic Genetix of Washington from Lime Skunk and Triple OG; a Barcelona seed company, Grounded Genetics, sells a different cross, Triangle Kush × (Lemon Tree S1 × Runtz), under the same name.1,2,3,4,5 It tests at a median total THC of 20.28% across 29 state lab tests of Lime OG flower, with the middle half of results between 18.54% and 22.02%, a small sample.6 Leafly users list tingly, focused and relaxed as its top effects.1

Quick answers

Is Lime OG indica or sativa?

A hybrid, by every source. Leafly files the Exotic Genetix version as a hybrid and rates it mostly energizing; SeedFinder lists it as 50/50, the nursery selling its clone says 60% indica, and Weedmaps describes a balance of indica and sativa traits. Its parents pull both ways: Leafly calls Lime Skunk a sativa, and SeedFinder lists Triple OG as 80% indica. Grounded Genetics’ separate Lime OG is also filed as a hybrid, with no split published.1,2,3,7,9,11,12

How strong is Lime OG?

Our only measurements come from a small sample: the median total THC across 29 state lab tests was 20.28%, and 2 of the 29 tests reached 25% or more.6 Published figures run higher: Leafly lists 22%, the nursery selling the clone claims 26–30%, and a Crops label in Ohio reads 26.17%.1,7,10

Which Lime OG is which?

Check the breeder. Exotic Genetix’s cross is Lime Skunk × Triple OG, released as regular seeds and circulating as a clone; it is the version Leafly, Weedmaps and Crops describe. Grounded Genetics, in Barcelona, sells feminized seeds of Triangle Kush × (Lemon Tree S1 × Runtz) as Lime OG. Nothing but the name joins the two.1,2,3,4,5,7,10

What does Lime OG taste like?

Lime first. Weedmaps users report lime (57% of flavor reports) and citrus (43%); Leafly lists lime, lemon and citrus and describes "a sour lime candy terpene profile". Crops, which grows the Exotic Genetix cross in Illinois and Ohio, describes candied citrus backed by pine and "classic OG diesel gas".1,2,10,13

Who bred Lime OG?

Exotic Genetix, the Tacoma, Washington seed company run by a breeder known as Mike or Exotic Mike, active since 2008 and a Best Indica and Best Hybrid winner at the 2017 High Times SoCal Harvest Cup. No source gives the year Lime OG was released. A second, unrelated Lime OG is sold by Grounded Genetics of Barcelona.1,4,5,8,14,15

Where is Lime OG sold?

In few places. On Oct 3, 2026, Weedmaps showed Lime OG flower at 21 store listings in 4 of 27 US markets, led by Newark (12).16 Most of our lab tests come from Michigan (23 of 29), and the Exotic Genetix cross is grown as a brand cultivar by Crops in Illinois and Ohio.6,10,17

A connoisseur cross with little shelf presence

Lime OG is not a chart strain. It appears in neither Leafly’s best-selling strains of 2025 nor The Marijuana Herald’s September 2026 list of the top seller in each of 23 states, and Weedmaps calls it "a rare and possibly archival hybrid". Its Leafly page carries 46 user ratings.1,2,18,19

Where it exists, it is a brand cultivar: Crops grows the Exotic Genetix cross in Illinois and Ohio, and Nomad Extracts sells a Lime OG wax in Colorado.10,13,17,20 On Oct 3, 2026, Weedmaps showed the flower at 21 store listings in 4 of 27 markets, and our lab dataset holds only 29 strictly matched flower tests, 23 of them from Michigan.6,16
